Radhadesh welcomes all brahmaan initiated devotees to attend a seminar to learn the science & art of performing Vedic Yajnas on Friday 1st September to Sunday 3rd September, 2006 at Radhadesh in Belgium given by Sri Radharamana dasa.(See attached file)
There is a growing need for knowing the art of performing vedic yajnas and samskaras in relation to developing the Indian congregation.
With this in mind in cooperation with the Bhaktivedanta Manor we organise at Radhadesh a seminar that will enable devotees to perform these yajna's and samskara's.
Brahmanas will benefit from the insights of application and learn how to conduct a pure Vedic yajna while focusing on how yajnas are used to worship the Lord. While going through the Vedas, they will also learn of the ethical and cultural values enunciated within the performance of yajnas to develop ideal children, improve martial relationships and attain spiritual purity for the whole family and community. As a preaching tool, the seminar will help aid brahminical qualities and add value to ones representation of ISKCON in ceremonial preaching services.
The seminar cost 100 euro(incl. staying over for two nights in a shared room in our guesthouse and 3 days prasadam)

Seminar: The Science & Art of Samskaras from the Vedas

Bhaktivedanta Manor's College of Vedic Studies welcomes you to attend
a seminar to investigate the science of Samskaras.
Introduction:
In the Vedas, the Lord details spiritual acts of culture existing in the spiritual world to create a positive change and improve the value of life in our world. Through an interactive presentation, attendees will discover the ancient rites of Vedic Samskaras, its application and its significance in Gaudiya Vaisnava theology to help develop Vaisnava culture.
Benefits:
Priests will benefit from the insights of application focusing on how Samskaras create a real positive change in life which includes analysing the belief concerning the justification of these claims. Devotees will learn of the ethical and cultural values enunciated in the Samskaras to develop ideal children, improve martial relationships and attain spiritual purity for the whole family and community.

Day 1 – Theory

10:15am – Overview of the Vedic Samskara manual: Gobhila Grihya Sutra & its re-presentation by Gopala Bhatta Gosvami in Sat Kriya Sara Dipika.
11:00am – Morning break.
11:15am – Overview of Pre-Natal Samskaras: Garbhadana, Pumsavana, Simantanayana & Sosayanti Samskara.
12:30pm – Arati and Lunch Break.
2:00pm – Overview of Post-Natal Samskaras: Jata Karma, Namakarana, Paustika Karma,
Niskramana, Anna Prasana, Putra Murdha-bhighrana, Karnavedha & Chuda Karana
Samskara.
4:00pm – Afternoon break.
4:15pm – Overview of Educational Samskaras: Vidyarambha, Upanayana, Samavartana
&Vivaha Samskara.
