Apreciaciones del curso por varios líderes

The course was very well prepared, extremely relevant, practical and useful to our immediate goals. Your dynamic approach, the many interactive exchanges made it all together a wonderful experience with lots of fun. The course was appealing to different kinds of devotees, not just those who are only fixed on communications-services.

We were honoured to host your course and we felt happy that of the 25+ devotees who attended the course, 15 devotees were Radhadesh-vasis. Courses like this have an awakening effect, and help us to break out of our daily routine way of doing things. In this way devotees can render better quality service to Srila Prabhupada. Thank you for teaching this course here.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Communications Course facilitated by Anuttama Prabhu. His friendly and humorous presentation complemented a well thought out, concise and tightly structured course content; a great way to learn the theory and practice of communications, fully concordant with ISKCON's standards and requirements.

I have never seen the devotees so happy and enthused by such association before. To be honest I was a little tired after four days of classes but everyone else was begging for more. As well as having a lot of fun we got a kick-start on our local communications strategy as well. It was well worth the time and effort and more.

I would like to thank Anuttama Prabhu for his very well presented and thought out seminar, which I recently had the good fortune to attend at our ISKCON New Govardhana Farming Community here in Murwillumbah, Australia. Alongside with my other devotee friends we were given an insightful, and thoroughly enlightening experience of how to better understand the meaning of communication.

Many of us were under the illusion that our modus operandi is sufficiently developed for dealing with the interactions of this world, both with the devotee community and the worldly community. Through the training we received we soon realised how much more there is to know.

Anuttama carefully explained the three principles that encapsulate the essence of artful communications.

Always consider the "Needs, Interests, and Concerns" of your audience whenever we deal with others. This slogan is the foundation for good communication. Alongside with very helpful skills in the art of listening to others, becoming proficient in TV, radio, and other media presentations, Anuttama gave stress to those of us who are leaders in ISKCON to constantly be honing these skills, in as much as a sportsman always seeks
to be at a peak of fitness.

Thorough, thoughtful, witty, charming, and above all knowledgeable in his presentation and content, Anuttama deserves to be heard by every devotee wishing to better broadcast the message of Srila Prabhupada. No one can claim to not have the time to attend. Attending the course will save you time gained through better communication.

The course itself was, for me, a very enlivening experience. As devotees we are all convinced that Krsna consciousness is the solution to all our problems but we are not always so expert at convincing others of this - hence the need to enhance and perfect our communication skills. Even though I have done my fair share of TV, radio and newspaper interviews, I learned so many hints and tips from attending the course.

It was also very inspiring that many devotees from the same yatra came together and put so much into the 4 days. You could visibly see the benefit that this association had for all concerned. As the course dealt with both individual, local, family, temple, community and global concerns, there was something for everyone and everyone was able to see the 'bigger picture'.

I couldn't sign off without a word about the facilitator. The course was presented in a fresh, professional and good humoured way and the facilitator certainly practiced what he preached - he catered more than adequately for all the students NEEDS, INTERESTS and CONCERNS.

I am very thankful to you for giving the wonderful seminar on communications. This communication seminar has personally helped me. I can give an example that in Vrindavana our life membership boys were not inspired to do their service but after the seminar I had a meeting and they were inspired and the result is becoming very favorable. I am also applying the listening skills in management to improve upon my communication with devotees.

In ISKCON we become too fanatical in dealing with devotees, different institutions, and people from other faiths and we think 'My way or the High way'. I hope and pray that you give the value of communications to ISKCON devotees to better [our] preaching. I would also encourage all the leaders and devotees in general to take up this course.

One of the things that impressed me about the course was that it was unintimidating. I felt that Anuttama was a great facilitator. The course really brought forth all the devotees' talents. My favourite part was being interviewed and having the immediate feedback from the devotee audience.

I recommend for anyone who hasn't done the course to do it with as many local devotees as possible. As a manager I felt that it broke down many barriers, real and imaginary. It helped us to complete the goals that we were already working on within our community. This course showed us the broader aspects of Communications apart from just media relations such as heads of government, neighbours, youth, etc..

The course is well conceived, it covers the essentials in communication like empathic listening, understanding your audience and how best to approach them. It is beneficial both on a personal and institutional level. Your style is smooth and accommodating, I think your right up there with the best facilitators in ISKCON.

I get a sense that devotees are hungry for these kinds of courses and to receive them within the context of our own institution is valuable for many reason. You present the necessary skills from within a context we can easily relate to and therefore significant learning should follow. Personally, the greatest merit of the course is it practical application, using the skills in a strategic and proactive way hence minimizing the many potential obstacles to effective communication and maximizing the opportunities to
get across our message. We have all benefited tremendously from your course and we look forward to keeping in touch with the ISKCON world of communication.

The course helped me to understand more deeply the importance of good communication within my personal service for Srila Prabhupada's mission. I recommend following this course to all the members of our Vaishnava communities. Especially the leaders of our society, the temple presidents and our communication men will benefit greatly from this course. It gave me more faith and conviction and brought me a step closer in serving Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha and Their servants in a better way.

Being a grihastra devotee with a daytime occupation as a senior software engineer in a highly technical company, I’ve had the privilege of attending (courtesy of the companies I worked for) many courses throughout my 20 years of working. Over that time I developed a lot of cynicism for courses generally, feeling that a lot of money was wasted by companies sending people to expensive courses where little of value was learnt. On the whole the courses were given by self-appointed “experts” who didn’t have an in-depth grasp of their subject and who proceeded to deliver the course contents to you in a very mechanical way to a set formula, whether it works or not.

With this background, I went to the ISKCON Communications Course (given by HG Anuttama Das from the Ministry of Communications) full of cynicism and apprehension, ready to leave if I felt I wasn’t getting anything out of it.

To my complete surprise I thoroughly enjoyed it (as did the rest of the 26 devotees who took part) and came away feeling I had learnt some very valuable lessons which I can apply as a devotee in my dealings with other people, whether to individuals, to a group, or to the media, and irrespective of whether they are devotees or not.

The strength of this course is that it is completely based on the fact that we are all devotees of ISKCON and followers of Srila Prabhupada i.e. it is specifically tailored for devotees by devotees. Therefore there was an instant connection between the course material, the course tutor and the other attendees.

The course was that much more enjoyable because of Anuttama Prabhu’s knowledge and skills and importantly, his humor. Humor is a very effective tool to impart knowledge and Anuttama had an abundant supply of it.

Another huge plus for this course was its cost (£35 per person). Courses of this duration aren’t cheap in the business world - another zero can easily be added to the cost per person, so it’s a very affordable course for the devotees.

I feel every devotee, irrespective of his position or duty, can benefit immensely from this course, and I will certainly be pushing for all the devotees of my temple to attend this course at their earliest convenience.

The communications course is excellent training for everyone who wants to become a better servant in spreading Krsna consciousness. Now I experience that communication, when done with the right attitude and behavior, becomes a dynamic process of mutual trust, respect and acceptance that brings about better understanding and appreciation of Krsna consciousness.

Lots of fun and a powerful conclusion that's hard to forget. Many thanks to Anuttama Prabhu for his expert facilitation.

I thought the Communications Seminar was very well structured and comprehensive. It gave me the tools I needed to approach any preaching situation, including presentations to media, with greater confidence. I feel it is a course, which cannot help but be of use to all preachers, whatever their particular discipline may be.

Without oversimplification, the communications Training Course was informative, engaging and vibrant. The training should be seen as a crucial aspect for any devotee who wishes to understand communication, both from a broad perspective and from within the society of devotees. As a person Anuttama Das is warm and genuine. As a speaker he is skilful, honest and challenging.

The communications course developed by IC for ISKCON preachers is a very important preaching tool and should be extensively used by all managers. Many things taught in the course may be known to some extent by all managers, but for me attending the course made all the difference in knowing these techniques and actually putting them into practice.

I recommend this course to all the devotees interested in improving their quality of life by communicating properly, especially how to deal with devotees, general public, media persons and others. In fact I never knew that communication plays such an important role in one's life till I attended this seminar.

As a Temple President I found the course drastically helped me to better my day-to-day practical devotional services, mainly how to relate with people, media persons, how to present myself with VIP members, improving the quality of bhagavat pravachan. This seminar has improved my communication skills to such an extent, that I could better my relationship with my family people. So I strongly feel it helps all ISKCON devotees if they participate in this seminar seriously.

The beauty of this seminar is HG Anuttama prabhu's honest urge to impart his knowledge to participating devotees and sincerely trying to help them to improve his or hers communication skills. One more specialty with this seminar is a devotee who is training us not just a professional.

The course is a great asset for every devotee, because one learns how to build and sustain auspicious relationships with all kinds of people in this world. Thanks to Anuttama Prabhu's systematic teaching I'm now much better prepared and focused in our efforts of creating a favorable environment for advancing the goals of the Krishna Conscious Movement.

Although I was not able to fully attend Anuttama Prabhu's Communications course, what I was able to participate in has left a lasting impression on me. I have felt a new found sensitivity in my dealings with the devotees and a greater eagerness to appreciate their service and association. I have seen this as well in all of the 45 Vaishnavas who took the course here in Buenos Aries, Argentina. I am sure that if we continue to apply the principles that we have learned, the "heart" of our community here in Argentina will become as soft as a rose and irresistibly attractive.

I highly recommend that every devotee community that we have participate in Anuttama Prabhu's course. He has done a remarkable job.

I expected the Communications Course to be very professional and useful, given the importance of this field in our work and the excellent reviews it had gotten in other countries. What I couldn't imagine, however, is how FUNDAMENTALLY crucial it turned out to be.

I foolishly thought that communications referred to only one aspect of our work and thus did not realize that I need it in just about everything I do. I learned techniques which will be of great use in my every dealing, be it preaching, be it building a temple, or just nurturing healthy relationships with others, devotees and non-devotees alike.

No one should miss this course. Do not think, like I did, that only those involved with the top echelons of administration can benefit from it. This is a course every serious devotee should take. Everyone just loved the course, from beginning to end. Anuttama Prabhu has developed mastery in teaching, using humor and his keen intellect to keep everyone greatly involved. This is a real must!

Sometimes we believe that we know how to communicate but actually we often forget about small details that make a lot of difference. This is what really builds a successful communication. As a sankirtan devotee I really appreciated this course and I think that all
sankirtan men and women would enjoy this opportunity as well. It is essential for us to know how to communicate so we can obtain success in our preaching efforts. As
far as I could see Anuttama Prabhu is very qualified to teach us the art of communication.

The course is really very good, since it enables us to open the new frontiers that ISKCON needs to open to push forward Srila Prabhupada's mission in a better and expanded way. By attending your course we discovered that we have to rethink our ways and to learn what real communication is. Fore example, being empowered to deal with the media in an effective way that leads to big results.

Thank you for your valuable contribution to the movement and for being such a gentleman.

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

I would like to manifest my great appreciation on the important seminar that you gave in Brazil last July. The fortunate participants are greatly enlivened and inspired by the subject, and specially, by the way it was taught.

We had some difficulties to convince devotees to participate, and one of the reasons was their complete lack of experience on the matter. Therefore, they were not capable to truly valorise the real importance.

Unfortunately, many Temple presidents and seniors devotees didn't appear. Nonetheless, when they heard very positive feedbacks of the seminar from devotees who participated, they strongly regretted missing the opportunity. I'm sure the next event will benefit from this lesson, and many devotees will show interest to participate.

In my personal and humble opinion, these events (seminars) are few of the most important actions taking place in Iskcon nowadays. I really hope others GBCs and leaders all around the world will support and assist you in your work so that our Society will benefit from such crucial matter. Thank you again.

The Communication Course I is a must for all leaders, potential leaders, and general devotees in ISKCON. This expertly facilitated, entertaining and revealing seminar gives its participants insight into the way other people think about the Hare Krsna movement. Furthermore, the learning environment is skillfully arranged so that each participant can also become sensitive to the needs and concerns of ISKCON's wide variety of members.

The workshops teach skills and values essential to establishing public opinion conducive to the practice and spreading of Srila Prabhupada's movement. As a teacher I have experienced the deleterious effect that negative perceptions of our organization can have on our members, both young and old. I have also seen the miraculous transformation that can take place when these negative perceptions are transformed by positive interaction. I
found it inspirational to learn how I can help influence schools, other religious organizations, working environments, the media and even government offices, to become friends and allies in spreading Krsna Consciousness and facilitating our ISKCON movement.

Anuttama explores the subtleties of enhanced communications in a way that is both interesting and often very humorous. Our attention was fixed throughout the seminar, eagerly absorbing every word for 3 full days. This presentation is especially essential for those who are seeking ways to improve the effectiveness of their preaching.
